I didn\'t know about recycling oyster shells, it makes you think that many waste products must have a use if we are imaginative enough.

I am not sure that we have any means of recycling oyster shells in UK, but it makes a lot of sense once it has been explained clearly.

Ken bless your heart for wanting to help. It will take a bit of effort on your part because you\'d like to support the restaurants who are supporting the program and if you buy oysters home then you will have to collect those shells until you feel it\'s enough/worth the while to make a trip to the drop off points.

@stav- seems to show us that if someone or some organization pronounces something as \"waste\" - that they are giving a lie, in a way. They haven\'t considered enough.

On the other hand, some things are truly bad to start with... i suppose styrofoam, pvc, nuclear \'waste\', and plastic bags fall into that. hm. but the earth will cleanse itself, too. eventually. we just may not be around to see it. ;)
