Bow Ties

I love fashion but sometimes it really baffles me as to how quirky the designs are and just when my thoughts drifts to wondering how these designers make living as no one could possibly want to purchase let alone wear their outrageous designs, someone will pass me by proudly wearing it on their back. Honestly it is one thing to admire the creativity; but it takes guts to dress up and parade yourself in public in them.
Now I know bow ties aren’t “quirky fashion” but rather as a matter of fact a variation of the men’s necktie which is often made part of formal attires such as tuxedoes. Perhaps you might observe how they are worn more by men of certain professions such as University Professors and pediatricians more than others who take a fancy for neckties. Either way it was never ‘part of the women’s attire but time has seen a change to that ‘dress rule’.
And so if you are shopping for bow ties as presents this season – be it for your friend, husband or kids you must turn to XOElle for your selection. They are “handmade bow ties repurposed from vintage neckties and button down shirts”. But mind you don’t assume just because they are ‘repurposed’ they are going to be cheap. Each bow tie sells for $36 each, although granted they are quite unique seeming it isn’t your conventional black, white, blue or grey bow ties we’re talking about. XOElle makes them in just about every colour and design you can think of. Perfect for those who follow the quirky fashion trend.
I know women have worn neck ties for quite some time now but bow ties…well that’s a bit new to me, especially when they’ve got the oddest prints on them. I believe the only women who wear them are the bunnies and Japanese school girls. But oh how the times have changed. With the Harajaku fashion so adored by our youths, what was once synonymous with geek fashion is now one of the hottest fashion accessories around for the ‘young and hip’ trend setters.
