- I stumbled across pitseel’s etsy shop while browsing organic food on one of my etsy tangents. (They’re becoming more regular; I think I will eventually start the first chapter of Etsy Shoppers Anonymous. We can have meetings and make our own t-shirts and sell them on Etsy! What a great idea!!! Oh… wait…)
Back to pitseel: she does have a few very yummy-sounding vegan eats, so check those out. But what I really like is her all-natural dishwashing detergent paste. You can use it in the dishwasher or diluted in a big sinkful of hot water when handwashing. It’s $18.00 for a pound, and while that’s more than I’ve ever paid for dishwashing detergent, it would also last longer – far longer – than anything else I’ve ever used. Pitseel also offers an all-natural laundry detergent, which you can buy unscented or with your own custom scent from her essential oils. Mmmm. No more fakey flower smelling stuff for my clothes. - This is brilliant: from thegreenmarket, truly reusable cleaning clothes to fit the Swiffer duster and sweeper (that’s the big picture above). I’ve had continual conflict: I like the Swiffer and how easy it is to use, and I love the Swiffer duster, but I’m just not down with throwing away two or three cleaning cloths a week. At the rate my kids get the floor dirty and I clean it… it seems more like two or three dozen. Not economical, and not sustainable. Voila. Here is the answer.
Also offered by the green market are reusable nylon bags made to replace those smaller, thinner produce and bulk grain bags it’s so hard to get away from in the grocery store. Great ideas. - One last stop on our Natural Home Products tour: the JoyfulGirlNatural shop. My favorite item here is the Natural Toilet Cleaner Fizzy Tablets. I really like the thought of my bathroom smelling like lavender, tea tree, lemon, and rosemary instead of bleach. You’ll also find natural kitchen cleaner and bathroom cleaner. The cleaning set would be a great gift for newlyweds, college students, and those just branching out into a natural lifestyle
