stickers

Stickers are fun. Young or old, we’re all attracted to stickers of some sort. The kiddies would be crazy for all the little colourful ones that come in all shapes and sizes which they’d make a collection out of, the young women go insane for stickers that transform their nails into unique works of art while the matures fall head over heels for wallpaper and other such wall decals and the men simply can’t say no to the attraction of a perfect tint for their cars. And the point here is, regardless of age or gender, we all love stickers! But clearly just because we love something doesn’t make it good for us.

Stickers are made from different materials. It could be anything from paper to vinyl or plastic to foil. But the fact that these materials are obviously not the most earth friendly, it is the ink and adhesives involved in the making of a sticker that can really bring about demise because it’s all covered in toxic. Conventional stickers have glue and ink that are full of toxic chemicals that can very easily make a young child or those with a weaker immune system very sick. Knowing what the stickers you buy are made of is very very important as the health effects of prolonged exposure to such toxic chemicals don’t show up until some damage is done.

The good news is, we don’t have to give up on stickers because the brilliant entrepreneurs have come up with safer versions like the chalkboard stickers that is safe, eco-friendly, cute and practical all at the same time. These eco-friendly stickers are made with a bioplymer derived from potato starch, a 100% bio-degradable plastic and completed with eco friendly ink and glue.

The stickers can either be recycled into compost where they are returned as nutrients to the soil, or can be safely thrown out as it is for certain to have at least 90% of the material biodegrade(as opposed to many decades for most vinyl stickers) within a span of 6 months. The eco-friendly chalkboard stickers come in six cute animal silhouettes designs that are perfect for your children. Of course you have to be careful to get safe non-toxic chalks to go with it!
