When animal products companies’ boast that their merchandise are pet-safe, organic, eco-friendly, toxic-free and health- beneficial (rich in essential vitamins, minerals and basically the whole lock stock and barrel of goodness) I really can’t quite for the life of me understand how the lines ‘not safe for human consumption’ or ‘not intended for human use’ will still accompany the package. I mean if it’s safe for our pets, why isn’t it safe for us?
Now I suppose you could say I’m a tad on the ignorant side for nothing realising vital points/qualities about a product that my puppy has been using for the past one year because I full heartedly agree with you.
I mean imagine my own delight and embarrassment when I found out my furbaby’s Earthbath shampoo (we use Oatmeal & Aloe Shampoo ) is all human-grade! What exactly does that mean? It means that I too can use it and expect to have shiny, glossy, soft and healthy hair just like the furbabies (and my furbabies do have amazingly clean coats that not just look good and feel soft to the touch, they also smell yummy!).
So how and when exactly did I find out about this? When I decided to look up the product line on their website in search of more grooming products that’s when. You see Earthbath is my number one choice for my pets because it’s everything a green pet lover could think off. Earthbath products are as they brilliantly put it, “…created with the health of your beloved, furry friend and our fragile environment in mind”. They possess the qualities of being:
High quality as developed through the extensive research and contributions from groomers, veterinarians and expert blenders
- An all-natural product
- 100% bio-degradable
- Eco-friendly and completely safe (contact with it will not harm kids, lawns, or other living things)
- People tested and pet approved for being mild and pH-balanced (even for safe for use on other small animals such as rabbits, ferrets or larger ones like horses)
- Free of DEA, phosphates*, enzymes, synthetic dyes, chlorine bleaches
- Animal cruelty-free
And who else to better emphasize these benefits and reinforce the trust in them then the man who is the face of the company himself – the President of Earthbath, Paul Armstrong! He uses their very own Earthbath Shampoo on himself daily! What better way to show confidence in your product as the best then to use it yourself! (Now I can’t vouch for it that he actually uses it, but in business your words are representations and no forward thinking company would represent anything that wasn’t factually true).
Aside from the shampoo range that comes in both pints and bars, Earthbath also offers:
- Deodorizing Spritzes (much like a moisturiser/conditioner) which is not for use on cats as cats will immediately groom off all the spritz, negating its effect.
- Earthbath merchandise (t-shirts, towels, caps and a really cool poo bag!) which only retails off their website.
Perhaps you can call me loony but I’m going to try my puppy’s Earthbath shampoo. If it’s good enough for my furbabies, then it’s good enough for me…I’ll let you know how it turns out so stay tuned for the update.
