Nothing captures those moments save for your memory. Memories are exactly what keeps the past in our present and gives legacy to the dead , they meaning to our existence, tell a story of our beginnings, mapping our life each step of the way- which explains why Alzheimer’s and Dementia are such terrible diseases to endure. It isn’t just about not knowing who you are or where you came from, it is also about having no memory/recollection of even the simplest/basic of things such a speech; so much so that you become a person trapped within your own body.
Lord bless us all that we never have to experience such an ordeal but even without the onset of Alzheimer’s and Dementia, through the natural course of time all of us begin to lose our touch. I’m not saying we will all become old forgetful s but you must admit that even the best of us will have something slip from mind every once in a while.
That’s why portraits are painted and pictures/photographs captured. They can’t capture every moment of our time but they do enough to help ‘jog’ our memory.
Recognising how precious photographs can be, almost every home now owns at least one camera – digital or otherwise. But whilst digital cameras can provide us with an eco-friendly virtual album, there are times when prints are still preferred.
Conventional photo printing involves many toxic chemicals that are bad for both you and the environment. Lucky for us, there are now companies like LifePhoto (Earthtru™ )where we can do quality eco-friendly printing.
Using Kodak NexPress technology, LifePhoto prints eco friendly pictures using nontoxic dry inks (packaged in recyclable containers )that are easily removed for recycling, removing the fears about VOC (volatile organic compounds) as the press produces virtually no emissions. In fact some components of the press are made from reclaimed materials and designed for future remanufacturing! What you get is a beautiful memory frozen flat with enhanced non-toxic gloss on paper (portion post-consumer material of course) for a fair price of $0.10 (4” × 6”) of which 5-cent is donated to Feed The Children.
