Shopping bags…you really can’t do without them unless you plan on hand carrying/juggling your groceries. Plastic makes them light and convenient but hardly a good thing on the environment. Sure there’s the bio-degradable plastic bags option but avoidance/reduction of the overall use of plastic bags is still the best. So we turn to reusable bags…but how many among us are turned off reducing our use of plastic by carrying those green coloured bags with the large recycling logo printed on it (not implying that plastic bags look any better)? Going green doesn’t mean we have to forgo our interest in carrying something ‘attractive’ because eco-bags are no longer just plain with the standard logo, instead there are many beautiful designs that you can pick from.
I’d say the original outlay is a bit expensive, but in the long run I think everyone should invest in an eco-friendly reusable bag. And the fact is you’ve got so much more than just a rectangle shaped bag to choose from – there are bags for every purpose of your shopping; take for example canvas totes for general shopping, produce bags for your fresh fruits and vegetables, classic string bags for fruits, cotton soap bags, etc.
