Stocking fillers for him

Contrary to what many think, it isn’t women who are difficult to shop for, it is men. I mean women as simple, we have so many wants, they cover practically all category of items you can think of. Which means buying gifts for women doesn’t  always have to cost you and arm or a leg. Men on the other hand tend to have few wants and whatever it is, you can be certain it’s going to fall along the lines of being:

  • 1.    Something they don’t need or ever use (guys in general always want ‘manly tools’ but serious ladies, how many of you can safely say your mate know how to use them or even ever really has a chance to use them.)
  • 2.    Duplicates, yes, it’s an aged old saying that women can’t have enough shoes or bags but what about men? They never seem to get bored of collecting power tools or electronic gadgets
  • 3.    Expensive- Boys toys are ‘expensive’ plain and simple and there’s no arguing with that.

So unless you earn like a Manchester United football star then I guess buying the gift of your guy(s) dream won’t be coming true for this Christmas…but that’s not necessarily true is it? Christmas gifts are from the heart and its true value lies with the thought behind it. And so even the following would make great gifts for the appreciative men folk:

  • 1.    Cufflinks
  • Women have earrings and men have cufflinks or tiepins. Sadly I see many these days who don’t know how to appreciate them but perhaps this Christmas you could consider getting your loved a pair. Remember just as pairing your dress with the perfect pair of earrings could make the entire look, so will a great pair of cufflinks for the men. You can visit Etsy, Eco-Artware, Novica and Red Envelope for some great (and I mean cufflinks that don’t look like novelty pieces) eco friendly ones.

  • 2.    Phone Holder
  • Alright so I am fully aware that guys tend to find phone holder/covers that aren’t full black or made of leather to be rather girly but this is a great idea, phone holders made from old ties. They look like little pouches and to me are absolutely adorable. If you can’t find one in a design you like maybe you can make one out of his old ties. But at the end of it all, if you think it’s not a gift well suited for the manly men then you can consider it for one of the girls.

  • This one could work for and adult who has a collection of toy cars or a child fascinated with them. Solar powered toy cars/vehicles are really neat – environmentally friendly and without the need to spend of batteries!

Small things, great gifts!
